Four days of this year have already passed without me even realizing it. So much is happening in the world that's affecting our mental state, but putting those news stories aside, I've focused on myself today, so I can think positively and do something good for myself.
My trip to Solang in October, where there were mountains, snow, and friends, helps me stay grounded and true to my core values. If mountains and friends weren't a part of my life, I would fall apart.
I have the freedom to look at photos of the mountains every day and to pack my bags and leave whenever I want, and it took me many years and a lot of hard work to achieve this freedom. These efforts started in 2007 and finally bore fruit just two or three years ago.
Now I'm moving forward to live a good life on my own terms, and I really enjoy sharing glimpses of the Indian Himalayas with you. Thinking about Hive motivates me to write; otherwise, I wouldn't even think about writing because of my travels.
Today's photos are from a hike in the Solang Valley. On this trip, I visited Beas Kund, Bakkar Thach, Mori Dug, British Bridge, Vashisht Temple, Kothi, Kothi Top, and Khobi. I also enjoyed snowfall on the way from Kothi Top to Khobi.
I hope your new year is going well, and I hope you are able to stand up for yourself. Happy New Year again.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
