I'm back in my favorite community after a long time. I haven't been able to post much because of my travels, but I've been taking lots of pictures. All the black and white photos in today's post were taken from the confluence of two mountain ranges above the Solang Valley.
These mountains are over 6000 meters high and include Hanuman Tibba (5985 meters), Mukar Beh (6000 meters), and Shikhar Beh (6280 meters). There are other peaks in this range, one of which, Friendship Peak (5250 meters), I have summited.
The confluence of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal mountain ranges becomes incredibly beautiful and serene after a snowfall. I was there in October when it snowed heavily for two consecutive days. Because of the snowfall, we were stuck in our hotel for two days. As soon as the snowfall stopped, we set out to explore the mountains the very next day.
I started walking from Kothi village with my companions, and upon reaching Kothi Top, I realized that we were so preoccupied with the changing weather, sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy, that we were ignoring the magnificent view in front of us. Finally, we stopped to admire the sacred beauty of the mountains and absorbed the scene for a long time.
That's the story behind these photos. This journey will continue, and I'll see you in the next post where I'll bring you more beautiful mountain landscapes.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
