In Nigeria even though civilization has become the order of the day we sometimes do things that takes us back to the originality of our culture , roots and tradition.
but then we do it mostly at celebrations like Traditional Marriage, Burials or Funerals, Some other Cultural events, etc. and most times some of these functions requires that we dress according to the style of our cultural identification.
These attires are quite important as it truly shows our identities even though we can no longer wear these outfits to formal function ( I mean very typical traditional attires, because most Nigerian men still own some Woko, Senators , and Etibos they wear to attend some formal functions though).
Even though tying wrapper is something men would turn to in the days of old they no longer wear it as it's mostly left for there traditional functions and even though they are meat to tie the said wrapper they opt for second alternatives like native sewn trousers to suits there style and taste and still blend in traditionally.
But yet again we can't shy away from our cultural identity as Nigerians.
This Attire represents one of the Niger Delta tribes the Edo people, Capital city Benin , and they're also know by the famous ruler OBA OF BENIN which has left a thick cultural and historical ink in the minds and eyes of a lot of people both home and abroad.
Its beautiful to see and witness as it really shapes our mind towards or roots and culture
