If I had one word to describe Tim Warner's performance on stage, it would be charged.
Politically charged, emotionally charged, spiritually charged.
When Tim speaks onstage, he, in my opinion, has every intention of striking a chord with the audience and connecting on what he would consider to be a commonality between the human race.
Tim is a comedian hailing from New York City that I've gotten to know along my travels in Austin Texas. On the day I decided I wanted to photograph Tim as a thank you for helping me out in my earlier days of being in Austin. I reached out to him and as it turned out, Tim was available the very next day to shoot.
On very short notice we were able to link up on the fly and knock out the photoshoot in less than 20 minutes.
I felt like the black and white photographs conveyed the most emotional reaction and complimented the many moods of Tim Warner. You got everything. I'm very much liking the contrast in these shots.
I kept my shutter speed on the camera at 1/250 & 1/500 while using a 12mm Rokinon lens on with no filters which is a rare occurrence for me.
My improvised lighting setup for this included the Apurture Amaran 100x as a key light, with an added fill light coming from an on-camera flash at various levels of intensity.
