Hola amigos de #HIVE... Esta es mi entrada de hoy para el reto #monomad.
There are many early 20th century houses still standing in my town, and many of them still have their original wooden doors.
En mi localidad siguen en pie muchas casa de principios del siglo XX y muchas de ellas conservan sus puertas de madera originales.
Of course, the time has passed and those doors have suffered changes, most especially in their locks, handles, latches and door knockers. So this has created very interesting combinations to photograph. That's what my photos of today are about...
Por supuesto, el tiempo ha pasado y esas puertas han sufrido cambios, muy especialmente en sus cerraduras, manillas, pestillos y aldabas. Entonces esto ha creado combinaciones muy interesantes para fotografiar. De eso se tratan mis fotos de hoy....
A fairly basic door, unpainted, with natural wood... It has signs of reinforcements, wires, a new lock and a delicious deterioration of the wood...
Una puerta bastante básica, sin pintura, con la madera natural... Tiene signos de refuerzos, alambres, una cerradura nueva y un delicioso deterioro en la madera...
I find this enchanting, it has all those things you can get on these doors; door knockers, a beautiful forged handle, a strange padlock with Chinese inscriptions, a tiny chain and it still has its original lock.
A esta la encuentro encantadora, tiene todas esas cosas que se pueden conseguir en estas puertas; aldabas, una hermosa manilla forjada, un extraño candando con inscripciones en chino, una diminuta cadena y conserva su cerradura original.
If I had to give this one a name, it would be: "Almost dead door".... I really don't understand how it's still standing. It has lost the lock, you can see that the knockers have been broken, and the wood is almost gone. However, I find it beautiful, the patina of time is noticeable in its texture.
Si tuviese que ponerle un nombre a esta, sería: "Puerta casi muerta"... En realidad no entiendo como es que sigue en pie. Ha perdido la cerradura, se nota que le violentaron las aldabas, y la madera está casi desecha. Sin embargo, la encuentro hermosa, la patina del tiempo es apreciable en su textura.
This one belongs to an old abandoned and dilapidated house... You can tell it had better times. However -as it always happens with these doors- it is one of the best results when photographing them. I find fascinating the pale coloration still remaining, the three rusty studs (upper left) and the... Another little Chinese padlock...where did they get those padlocks...? :-)
Esta pertenece a una vieja casa abandonada y en ruinas... Se nota que tuvo tiempos mejores. Sin embargo -como sucede siempre con estas puertas- Es una de las que mejor resultado se tiene al fotografiarlas. Me parece fascinante la coloración pálida aún remanente, los tres tachuelones oxidados (superior izquierda) y... ¿Otro candadito chino?... ¿De donde sacaban esos candados? :-)
Well, this one needs few words to comment on.... I love that pair of forged rings, but I really don't understand about the wires to keep it closed!.... :-)
Bien, esta necesita pocas palabras para comentarla... Me encantan ese par de argollas forjadas, pero en verdad no entiendo lo de los alambres para mantenerla cerrada!... :-)
This one is almost minimalist, symmetrical... A poem of years and years...
Esta es casi minimalista, simétrica... Un poema de años y años...
This one was getting direct sunlight and I loved how it created that shadow of the handle (which by the way looks like it was made recently but with an old design).
A esta le estaba dando el sol directamente y me encantó como generó esa sombra de la manilla (la cual por cierto parece hecha recientemente pero con diseño antiguo).
This one is very interesting, it is painted in a very dark red color, reflects very little light and was difficult to photograph.... However, the first light of dawn made it feasible.
Esta es muy interesante, está pintada en un color rojo muy obscuro, refleja muy poca luz y fue difícil de fotografiar... Sin embargo, las primeras luces del amanecer lo hicieron factible.
And this one is like a face saying "Boooooooooooooo" ha ha ha ha..... But it's a nice old pair of rings.... :-)
Y esta es como un rostro diciendo "Boooooooooo" ha ha ha... Pero es un lindo par de antiguas anillas... :-)
