Hoy he seleccionado para compartir en #monomad con ustedes, fotos de carácter diverso que van desde retratos hasta escenas simples de calles y algunos detalles cercanos encontrados en estas...

As always, my streets are full of things. They are versions of themselves happening every day in a different way. Sharpening my gaze, I find in my streets tiny universes independent of each other. This can happen in someone's eyes, in the cries of children playing, or even in a simple object hanging somewhere in the streets becoming a handful of past and future assumptions about "why is that there"...

Como siempre, mis calles están repletas de cosas. Son versiones de ellas mismas sucediendo a diario de una manera distinta. Aguzando mi mirada, encuentro en mis calles universos diminutos e independientes entre sí. Esto puede suceder en los ojos de alguien, en los gritos de los niños jugando, o incluso en un simple objeto colgando en algún lugar de las calles convirtiéndose en un puñado de suposiciones pasadas y futuras acerca de "por qué está eso ahí"...

Between one street and another the stories seem to change and this is something that fascinates me. I can almost sense the particular character of individual streets, I seem to have drawn up a kind of well-defined "mental map" for the street sectors in my town. I have even come to intuit that there are "several villages" intermingled in this handful of streets... I'm referring of course to the characteristics of the people and the streetscape, which tend to differ significantly between neighbourhoods regardless of whether they are separated by just a few steps...

Entre una calle y otra las historias parecen cambiar y esto es algo que me fascina. Casi puedo presentir el carácter particular de las calles individualmente, me parece que he elaborado una especie de "mapa mental" muy bien definido de los sectores callejeros de mi pueblo. Incluso he llegado a intuir que aquí existen "varios pueblos" entremezclados en este puñado de calles... Me refiero por supuesto a las características de la gente y del paisaje callejero, las cuales suelen diferir sensiblemente entre los distintos vecindarios, indistintamente de que unos y otros estén separados apenas por unos cuantos pasos a recorrer...

Of all these photos, I like to look very closely at the portraits I take of people. There, in their eyes, I discover a universe of things that are difficult to order and even more difficult to describe... People, when they look at us, even tell us things about ourselves... Making portraits in the streets can be something that makes you understand how it's that "we are many and we are one"... I'm referring, of course, to this perception of us as "one humanity"...

De todas estas fotos, me gusta mirar muy detenidamente los retratos que hago a las personas. Allí, en sus ojos, descubro un universo que cosas difíciles de ordenar y aún más describir... Las personas, cuando nos miran, nos dicen incluso cosas acerca de nosotros mismos... Hacer retratos en las calles puede ser algo que te hace entender como es que "somos muchos y somos uno solo"... Me refiero, claro está, a esa percepción de nosotros como "una sola humanidad"...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}

_{NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
