As usual, I'll be speaking for myself in this post, and this will simply be my opinion about something I love to do. I'm making this clear at the beginning because generally everything I write is related to myself and how I approach and understand street photography. And since I do this in such an empirical and casual way, I wouldn't want anyone to take it as an absolutely true and unquestionable fact, which could cause disagreements. So today I wanted to clarify that everything I write is just that: My simple opinion, things that generally only apply to myself... And today I wanted to start by saying something as eloquent as: "Playing the role of a street photographer implies not being entirely exempt from madness," and this is true for me, because (and this is where I develop what I wanted to write today) many times things go beyond photography and the technical aspect completely loses its relevance, even the "conceptual" disappears and only "instinct" remains, like a quiet sentinel that shoots without thinking or understanding, just showing off and being consumed by some kind of intuition that even he finds difficult to explain. So you end up with the camera's memory card brimming with certain anarchies that scream in an unknown language, and when we confront them on the screen of the processing and editing software, we end up cropping indiscriminately, disregarding light and shadow, simply being "that which observed something happening there and stole it with a click and that's it"... And that's a bit of the story behind this handful of my photographs for you today here on #Hive; brimming with something anarchic, with eloquent, unexpected improvisation, with all this exquisite kind of "unconsciousness" that is looking and shooting without giving the mind time to say anything...

Como de costumbre, hablaré por mi mismo este post y esto será simplemente mi opinión acerca de esto que tanto me gusta hacer, y hago esta aclaratoria al comienzo, porque generalmente todo lo que escribo tiene que ver conmigo mismo y con la manera como me relaciono y entiendo el hacer fotografías callejeras. Y dado que hago esto de manera tan empírica y a la ligera, no quisiera que fuese tomado por alguien como un hecho absolutamente cierto e incuestionable, cosa la cual podría causar discrepancias. Así que hoy quise aclarar que todo cuanto escribo es eso: Mi simple opinión, cosas que por lo general aplica solo a mi mismo... Y es que hoy precisamente quería comenzar diciendo algo tan elocuente como: "Hacer las veces de un fotógrafo callejero implica no estar del todo cuerdo", y esto es algo cierto para mi, pues (y aquí es donde desarrollo esto que quería escribir hoy) muchas veces la cosa va más allá de la fotografía y el aspecto técnico pierde totalmente su relevancia, incluso lo "conceptual" desaparece y solo resta allí el "instinto" como un quieto centinela que dispara sin pensar ni entender, solo presumiendo y siendo consumido por algún tipo de intuición que a él mismo le cuesta explicar. Entonces uno termina con la memoria del cámara repleta de ciertas anarquías que gritan en un idioma desconocido, y cuando nos enfrentamos a ellas en la pantalla del software de procesado y edición, terminamos recortando a mansalva, despreciando luces y sombras, simplemente siendo "eso que observó algo ocurriendo allí y se lo robó con un click y listo"... Y así es un poco la historia de este puñado de mis fotografías de hoy para ustedes aquí en #Hive; repletas de algo anárquico, de elocuente improvisación inesperada, de todo esta especie de "inconsciencia" exquisita que es el mirar y disparar sin darle tiempo a la mente de decir nada...

And obviously, not all my photos are like what I'm describing today; but there are certain days when I definitely wake up inclined to take them this way. They're usually difficult days, or it can even be just brief moments when I break free from coherence and behave like this; as if wanting to distance myself from conventions, and well, in the end, that's what happens, and then I go back to my usual routine...

Y obviamente, no todas mis fotos son así como esto que describo hoy; pero hay ciertos días en los que ciertamente despierto proclive a hacerlas así. Son días complejos por lo general, o incluso puede tratarse de pequeños instantes en los que me evado de la coherencia y me comporto así; como queriendo ponerme al margen de las convencionalidades y bueno, al final es lo que me pasa, y luego retorno a lo de siempre...
