Last October I had the chance to make a short road trip to the neighbouring province of Alberta to visit my daughter. Today I'd like to present some of my favourite landscape photos from that trip.
This is Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. We arrived just before sunset and climbed to the top of the "rockpile" which turned out to more strenuous than I thought. It's about a hundred-metre climb to this iconic viewpoint and we were racing against the clock. This was my first visit to this gorgeous place and it was the thrill of a lifetime for me!
This is the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta... the "Castle in the Rockies."
This is Mystic Peak with the Bow River running through the foreground, photographed from a turnout on the Trans Canada highway.
Finally, here is a photo from the Kananaskis Trail which runs between Canmore and Calgary. The Kananaskis Trail is one of the most beautiful drives I've ever taken. Truly spectacular scenery!
All photos were taken by me, , with a Fuji X-T4 camera and 16-80mm lens, presented here for the #Monomad Photography Challenge by
