This week I had the opportunity to drive to Sweden. It doesn’t happen often that I get a delivery to that region, which is really a pity, because I really enjoy driving there. The roads are calmer, highways less crowded and there’s this overall sense of peace that I don’t often find in some countries in Europe.
To be honest I was a bit worried about the weather. Scandinavian winter can be tricky. But right after receiving the order, I checked the forecast and luckily it didn’t look too bad. The weather turned out to be quite nice.😀
I didn’t have much time to explore this time. It was a quick unloading and straight back to Germany. But on my way a certain bridge and a frozen lake caught my eye. The view made me slow down.
To my luck there was a parking spot just after the bridge. Of course, I stopped, got out and grabbed my camera. I couldn’t miss this moment. The winter scenery was so calm and quiet! The perfect time for a winter landscape!
📌 The bridge is called HAMMARSUNDET BRIDGE (Hammarsundsbron) – it crosses the Hammarsundet strait, which connects the northern part of Lake Vättern with a smaller lake called Övre Hallsjön. It’s located in the Närke region, in central Sweden, along national road 50. This scenic spot offers peaceful views and a perfect blend of infrastructure and Nordic nature.
