I'm not a religious man, but that doesn't mean I don't admire the architectural beauty of Catholic churches.

In Merida, Venezuela, you can find the San Miguel de El Llano Church, right in the center of the city.

It is impossible to ignore this structure. Every time I walk by, I stop to contemplate the façade, its lines, its textures and its patterns.

The last time I was in Mérida, luckily I had my camera in my bag, so I did not hesitate to immortalize this church.

It is worth noting that the colors are striking, between white and a red wine tone approximately.

However, in short, the photos look better in black and white, maybe because it highlights the elegance that already has the Church of El Llano, as it is also known.

I have fond memories of this place despite not having entered it until now, but in the days I was in Merida, almost daily I walked there, enjoying the endearing moment I lived every second.

This church is a reminder, as if it were a mental check point, of what no longer exists.

No soy un hombre religioso, pero no significa que no admire la belleza arquitectónica de las iglesias católicas.

En Mérida, Venezuela, se encuentra la Iglesia San Miguel de El Llano, en pleno centro de la ciudad.

Es imposible ignorar esta estructura. Cada vez que camino cerca, me detengo a contemplar la fachada, sus líneas, sus texturas y sus patrones.

La última vez que estuve en Mérida por suerte tenía la cámara en mi bolso, por lo que no dudé en inmortalizar esta iglesia.

Cabe destacar que los colores son llamativos, entre blanco y un tono vino tinto aproximadamente.

Sin embargo, en definitiva las fotos se ven mejor en blanco y negro, puede que sea porque resalta la elegancia que de por sí ya tiene la Iglesia de El llano, como también se le conoce.

Tengo gratos recuerdos de este lugar pese a no haber entrado hasta ahora, pero en los días que estuve en Mérida, casi a diario caminaba por allí, disfrutando el entrañable momento que vivía a cada segundo.

Esta iglesia es un recordatorio, como si se tratara de un check point mental, de lo que ya no existe.
