Every travel is a new eye opening experience for me.
I think you will agree that we often pass by some many beautiful things, without noticing them, around the place where we live, in the hectic everyday life.
But when I get to a new place, my senses automatically sharpen themselves. My perceptions are increased in strength. Is it just curiosity or the natural instinct to be more careful and cautious, as it is imprinted in our genes by the thousands of years evolution? Probably it is a combined effect from all these.
Here are a few details and particular angles I enjoyed at a travel to Malta.
- an ordinary cup of espresso on the roof of the house, with a view towards a street and a small bay with boats
- an old mill stone
- shadows of people next to the coat of arms of the local council
- a tin laver for tips
- "MAMO" or "mommy", as it could be translated in some languages, covered in sea salt
- beautiful fossils in the sea rocks
- a door piece of art, knock to hear the roar of the mighty lion...
You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything.
