Today I want to share with you some Black & White photographs I took, from beautiful locations I visited in the last 5 years. They are “my entry for the #monomad challenge" all photos are taken with my late Canon eos 550D with 18 - 135 mm lens.
The locations of the photographs are on the Islands:
Guadeloupe 🇬🇵 and Cuba 🇨🇺
Let’s start with Cuba 🇨🇺
Here we see a street scene of the Old Havana ~ La Habana Vieja. Very noticeable are the Vintage #cars that you see everywhere. What makes for a classic look in my photographs. At up some Black and White and see here the results 😎
It’s like traveling back in time. Don’t you think?
All those beautiful cars and historic buildings with their amazing #architecture and #designs.
Let’s go a little bit further now. To the Island of Guadeloupe 🇬🇵 In the Caribbean.
This is a mill we found in the countryside while exploring inland Guadeloupe. Surrounded by fields and forests.
Guadeloupe is famous for it’s beaches and tropical waters.
We found a beach all for ourselves, nobody around. The water was as warm as bath water 🥰 tropical fish were swimming all around us. 🐠🐡🦀 I tried to photograph a blue crab here but didn’t succeed, as it was just to fast and kept crawling under the rocks.
We had amazing views… seeing the sun ☀️ go down.
Along the beaches we find also rocks…
Some areas are great for surfing 🏄♂️
See the #surfers waiting to catch a wave 🌊
And when we are talking about the #beaches of Guadeloupe, did you know they have 3 different kind of beaches?
Above you see a black beach on the left side of the island. You can see it is truly black even in this photograph. It is due to volcanic activity on that side of the island long ago…
Further Guadeloupe has golden sand beaches, where most of the tourists hang out.
And there are white sand beaches… truly white. Imagine with the turquoise blue waters. 🤩 🥰
