No matter what the season, I find that Elbow Falls is such a great place to visit; even as a popular spot, I never feel like it's crowded. The pathways give many great views and are not too steep; the waterfall itself seems to be viewable from many angles. I think I was also there at a good time, as I wanted to do some long exposure, and the cloud cover helped in making things a bit darker, while the snow can be quite bright; it created a challenge that I was happy to accept. I wanted to make the water look smooth and silky, and with longer exposure, as many know, you are allowing a lot more light in, which can make things seem too washed out if you don't have the right settings.
