I don't think I would ever get this close to a bear in the wild, even if it was sleeping. This Grizzly bear resides at the Calgary Zoo. I have rarely seen it outside, so this was a nice opportunity to get some close-ups. This bear seems to typically hang out inside its caves. This day was a hot summer day so it was lazing about in the open, I saw its eyes open just a touch a few times before going back into its napping state
