This is my umpteenth entry in the form of a daily #monomad challenge hosted and curated by

I took this photo two days before Eid. I caught a mother making traditional Acehnese cakes for Eid. He was helped by a princess to immediately prepare the cake. Usually we call this cake by the name "Somproeng Cake".

it doesn't take long for the cake mold to be removed from the boiling oil

Cakes are collected in containers to keep them crumbly to enjoy
