Monomad: Bees working on flowers in black and white [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Often, the most spontaneous photos don’t require much, like this time, when I took some pictures in my backyard while a few bees stopped to rest for a couple of minutes on the flowers. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.

En muchas ocasiones, las fotografías más espontáneas no suelen necesitar muchas cosas, como en esta oportunidad que hice algunas fotografías en el patio de mi casa aprovechando algunas abejas que llegaron a detenerse por un par de minutos en las flores del patio. Espero que disfruten de estas fotografías tanto como yo.

I find it interesting that I took these photos around 4 or 5 in the afternoon; obviously, the sun was still out, but I used my camera’s built-in flash to try to make the bees stand out more by darkening the background.

Se me hace interesante saber que estas fotografías las hice en una hora más o menos de las 4 o 5 de la tarde; evidentemente todavía había sol, pero me ayudé del flash integrado de mi cámara para intentar hacer resaltar más a las abejas, haciendo que el fondo fuese más oscuro.

In the same way, using the flash also helped me a lot in creating a fairly sharp contrast, which is something I really like in black and white photography because it makes you focus even more on the subject, and bees are no exception.

De esa misma manera, el utilizar el flash también me ayudó bastante a generar un contraste bastante marcado, lo cual, para las fotografías en blanco y negro, es algo que me gusta bastante, porque te hace detallar incluso más a cualquier protagonista y, para las abejas, no es la excepción.
