Monomad: Light and Shadow at the Skatepark [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy Saturday to everyone, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography; I hope you’re all having a great day today. My plan for today is to attend a freestyle event at the skatepark, so I’m sharing some photos I took there adding-another post to the mix; I hope you enjoy them.

Feliz sábado para todos, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro; espero que se encuentren genial el día de hoy. Mi plan de hoy es asistir a un evento de freestyle que se llevará a cabo en el skatepark, así que les dejo unas fotografías que hice allí, sumando así una publicación más; espero que las disfruten.

When you take photos of people skating, I would venture to say that no two photos are alike. While the tricks they perform may be similar, the way they prepare and the expressions on their faces as they execute them are always different, which adds an extra touch of originality to the photos.

Cuando haces fotografías a personas que patinan, me atrevería a decir que no hay fotografías similares, si bien pueden existir en los trucos que realizan, pero en la preparación y la expresión de sus cuerpos al momento de hacerlo siempre es distinta, dando así algo más de originalidad a las fotografías.

As I always take photos from a distance, away from where they’re skating so as not to disturb them, I try to vary my angles and play around with the surroundings a bit to create interesting and varied photos, which I hope you’ll notice as well.

Como siempre hago fotografías a distancia fuera de donde patinan para no incomodar, intento variar mis perspectivas y jugar un poco también con el entorno para generar unas fotografías interesantes y variadas, lo cual espero que también noten ustedes.

That's all for today; unfortunately, I won't be able to take any photos of today's event because my camera lens is broken and I can't afford a new one, but I'll definitely enjoy the event as a spectator. I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday. See you next time!
