Monomad: Skate on a Wednesday [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy Wednesday to everyone, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography; I hope you’re all doing great today. As I’ve been doing for a while now, I’m sharing some photos I took at the skatepark that capture some striking moments; I hope you enjoy them.

Feliz miércoles para todos, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro; espero que todos se encuentren genial el día de hoy. Como vengo haciendo desde hace un tiempo, les comparto algunas fotografías que hice en el skatepark con algunos momentos llamativos; espero que las disfruten.

Taking photos like this can be challenging, and the key is always patience, especially when you have to keep your eyes and lens focused on the subject to figure out where to take the shot, while also paying attention to their body language, such as when they bend their knees; that’s when you know a jump is coming.

Cuando haces fotografías de este estilo puede ser un reto y la clave siempre es la paciencia, más cuando debes seguir con la mirada y el lente al protagonista para interpretar el lugar donde debes hacer la foto, también guiándote de las señales en el cuerpo, como cuando flexionan las rodillas; sabes que viene un salto.

That’s why, when I take photos, I try to be as observant as possible, taking everything in, because even when you’re focusing on a subject and include more people in the background, it creates a really nice final result; that’s why I like to share photos like this with wider shots.

Por eso, cuando hago fotografías, intento estar lo más atento posible, observando todo, porque incluso cuando sigues un protagonista e integras a más personas en el fondo, esto también genera un resultado final bastante bonito; por eso me gusta compartir fotos de este estilo con algunos planos más abiertos.
