Monomad: The dedication of skaters [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Taking photos at the skatepark has become a lot of fun for me; the reason is simple: it’s always a challenge, you’re constantly on the move, trying to capture different compositions. That’s why I’m sharing these photos with you today; I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Hacer fotografías en el skatepark se ha vuelto algo muy entretenido para mí; la razón es sencilla, siempre es un reto, siempre debes moverte e intentar conseguir distintas composiciones. Por eso, el día de hoy les comparto estas fotografías, las cuales espero que les gusten tanto como a mí.

These kids who are always skating do it for two reasons: first, because of the passion that drives them and how much they enjoy it; second, because practice is what helps them improve and get ready for any competition, since, after all, discipline often trumps natural talent.

Estos chicos que siempre están patinando lo hacen por dos motivos: el primero es la pasión que les mueve y lo mucho que disfrutan de hacerlo; lo segundo, porque la práctica es lo que les ayuda a mejorar y estar listos para cualquier competencia, porque, a fin de cuentas, la disciplina muchas veces le gana al talento natural.

This location is great for black-and-white photography because the light here is perfect for creating striking contrasts; although some of the photos may look darker, that’s precisely because the light doesn’t reach that spot or is blocked by the shadows of the trees, but I still thought they were worth sharing.

Este sitio es muy bueno para las fotografías en blanco y negro, porque la luz que ilumina es perfecta para generar contrastes llamativos; aunque en algunas fotografías se vean más oscuras, es justamente porque la luz no alcanza ese punto o las sombras de los árboles la tapan, pero aun así se me hicieron interesantes de compartir.
