Greetings, my friends of the Black and White community, how are you doing in the begining of this 2023? For my part, I'm quite motivated and I've already set some goals that I consider achievable. No despair, just put a lot of desire and a lot of ❤️ into everything I do.
So in that spirit, I bring you my first entry for the #Monomad Challenge this year. It's a series of portraits I took of some members of my family, hours before the end of 2022.
Saludos, mis amigos de la Comunidad Black and White, cómo les va en el comienzo de este 2023? Por mi parte, ando bastante motivada y ya he trazado algunas metas que considero alcanzables. Nada de desesperos, a ponerle ganas y mucho ❤️ a todo lo que haga. Con ese espíritu, les traigo mi primera publicación de este año para el #Monomad Challenge. Se trata de una serie de retratos que hice a algunos miembros de mi familia, horas antes de que finalizara el 2022.
I really like this photo because you can see the spirit of collaboration, something that fascinates me at #Hive. In the picture everyone contributes to the preparation of the New Year's Eve dinner.
Me gusta mucho esta foto porque se nota el espiritu de colaboración, algo que me fascina en #Hive. En la imagen todos aportan en la preparación de la cena de fin de año.
I could not miss this opportunity to take a picture of them, immersed in their work. So I left my position as their assistant for a while, grabbed my mobile phone and started taking pictures. I was always told things like that, like look at the artist avoiding hard work.... 😂 Nothing, I'm just misunderstood.
No podía dejar pasar esta oportunidad para retratarlos, inmersos en sus quehaceres. Así que abandoné solo un rato mi posición de ayudante, agarré mi móvil y a hacer fotos se ha dicho. Siempre me dijeron cosas así como, mira la artista evadiendo el trabajo duro... 😂 Nada, que soy una incomprendida.
This is my uncle Alexis, willing to help in any way he could, but also very committed to the glass of rum that from early in the morning had us dancing on one foot. The bottles of Guayabita del Pinar paraded one after the other to accompany the work and also to toast with those who came by to wish us happiness and good health.
Este es mi tío Alexis, dispuesto a ayudar en todo, pero también muy comprometido con el vaso de ron que desde temprano nos ponía a bailar en un solo pie. Las botellas de Guayabita del Pinar desfilaban una tras otra acompañando la faena y también para brindar con los que se asomaban por allí a desearnos felicidad y mucha salud.
My sister never stopped making us laugh with her witticisms. And I kept telling them that I didn't know where she got so much energy from because she didn't stop 😂 talking and making jokes.
Well, I do know, of course, she was too happy because at the end of the year she achieved an important goal she had set for herself: she was selected for a master's degree in Cultural Diversity and Social Spaces in Mexico.
Mi hermana no paraba de hacernos reir con sus ocurrencias. Y yo a cada rato les decía, que no sabía de dónde sacaba ella tanta energía porque no dejaba de hablar y hacer bromas 😂. Bueno, sí lo sé, claro, ella estaba demasiado feliz porque al terminar el año logró una meta importante que se había propuesto: fue seleccionada para una maestría sobre Diversidad Cultural y Espacios Sociales en México.
And he is my father. He was very happy because it had been several years since we had spent this time together in his homeland. I was delighted to return to this place of which I have very fond childhood memories.
Y él es mi padre. Súper contento porque hacía varios años no pasábamos juntos estas fechas en su tierra natal. Me encantó regresar a ese lugar del que guardo muy gratos recuerdos de mi infancia.
