I'm participating in the #monomad challenge with this post.
Title: BW birds
Magpies are present throughout the year, and they regularly nest near our yard, where they often spend time looking for food. They build large nests that are later used by other birds.
Western yellow wagtails, unlike magpies, make their nests in fields away from people.
Another bird species that builds nests near people, mostly under eaves, is the black redstart. This time I came across a nest with four little birds, which hatched a few weeks ago. They will soon be old enough to leave the nest and begin life as adult birds.
