A few weeks ago, together with a friend, I photographed the wedding of a beautiful couple where the groom was German and the bride Cuban. It felt almost surreal to witness how, despite language barriers and distance, love can grow strong enough to unite two worlds and two lives forever.
It was an incredibly fun wedding. Watching how the Cuban side and the German side interacted was fascinating and very entertaining. And honestly, you do not need to be a genius to notice how different we are. Cubans with our joyful, relaxed and playful spirit, and Europeans, especially Germans, with their stronger, more serious and sometimes rough character.
Even so, it was wonderful to see how both worlds collided and, thanks to love, connected in such a beautiful, curious and sometimes very funny way.
The wedding had everything. Anxiety, joy, tears, happiness, a touch of Cuban spice in the form of sensual dancing, a bit of nostalgia, but above all, a lot of love. And now that I look back at the photos, especially the last one, I realize that sometimes words are simply not necessary.

Hace unas semanas, junto con un amigo, tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar la boda de una hermosa pareja donde el novio era alemán y la novia cubana. Me parecĂa casi surrealista cĂłmo, a pesar de las barreras del idioma y la distancia, el amor puede surgir y fortalecerse al punto de unir dos mundos y dos vidas para siempre.
Fue una boda muy divertida. Ver cĂłmo interactuaba la parte cubana con la parte alemana fue algo fascinante y muy entretenido. Y la verdad, no hace falta ser un genio para notar lo diferentes que somos. Los cubanos con nuestro espĂritu alegre, relajado y desenfadado, y los europeos, especialmente los alemanes, con su carácter fuerte, serio y a veces un poco rudo.
Aun asĂ, fue maravilloso ver cĂłmo ambos mundos chocaron y, gracias al amor, se unieron de una forma hermosa, curiosa y en muchas ocasiones muy graciosa.
En la boda hubo de todo. Ansiedad, alegrĂas, lágrimas, felicidad, un toque de picante cubano en forma de baile sensual, algĂşn momento de nostalgia, pero sobre todo muchĂsimo amor. Y ahora que vuelvo a ver las fotos, sobre todo la Ăşltima, me doy cuenta de que a veces las palabras sobran.
