Many times I photograph people from a distance — lost in thought, or as if they were waiting for something. The truth is, I have no idea what they are doing or what is going through their minds. Only when I get home, in the calm of my space, do I like to look at the photos and play with the idea that I somehow know what they think or expect.
Sometimes I imagine that, at some point, another photographer has taken a picture of me as well, wondering the same thing: what is he doing? why is he taking those photos? Maybe they, too, created a whole story in their mind.
Without getting too reflective, I hope you enjoy today’s series. They were taken in Old Havana during one of my photo walks. I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I did capturing them. 📷

En muchas ocasiones fotografÃo personas desde la distancia, absortas en sus pensamientos o como si esperaran algo. En realidad, no tengo idea de qué hacen ni qué pasa por sus cabezas. Solo al llegar a casa, en la tranquilidad de mi espacio, me gusta detenerme a observar las fotos y jugar con la idea de que sé qué piensan o qué esperan.
A veces imagino que, en algún momento, algún otro fotógrafo me ha hecho una foto también, preguntándose lo mismo: ¿qué hace? ¿por qué toma esas imágenes? Y tal vez haya inventado en su mente todo tipo de historias.
Sin ser tan reflexivo, espero que disfruten la serie de hoy. Fueron tomadas en La Habana Vieja, durante una de mis salidas fotográficas. Espero que las disfruten tanto como yo al capturarlas. 📷
