Greetings hivers.
In the studio, most of the work I do is with young people celebrating their birthdays and even with children. Very rarely do adult clients come to me. It is as if something in the brain disconnects when adulthood arrives and people stop thinking about having a photo session for their birthday, something that has always caught my attention.
This bothers me for several reasons. The economic one, of course, but also the professional one. I firmly believe that it is completely valid for an adult to want to be photographed for a celebration, or even for no special reason at all. Being photographed is also a way of leaving a professional record of one鈥檚 journey through life, of changes, of stages overcome, and of the personal story that every face tells over time.
A photo session should not be only for teenagers or children. Every age has its own strength, its own beauty, and its own narrative. The passing of time does not take away value, on the contrary, it adds layers, experiences, and character that make each portrait more interesting and more honest.
Fortunately, in recent times I have had visits from some adults who wanted to break that pattern and give themselves the gift of a photo session, simply to celebrate themselves, to appreciate themselves, or to leave a well-made memory of this moment in their lives. Today I share some of those images with you.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Saludos hivers.
