Hello everyone , this is my entry for #monomad challenge. I like the windows, I like the idea of imagining people's lives beyond the glass, behind the hand-embroidered white curtains. People whose existence we are unaware of but who live in those thousand houses of a small village or a big city, different lives that perhaps sometimes by pure chance meet each others.
Mi piacciono le finestre, mi piace l'idea di immaginare la vita delle persone oltre il vetro, dietro le tende bianche ricamate a mano. Persone di cui ignoriamo l'esistenza ma che vivono dentro quelle mille case di un paesello, o di una grande città, vite diverse che forse a volte per puro caso, si incontrano.
Elena lives here, works as a clerk in a detergent shop, is single (she says by choice), goes every Sunday for lunch at her sister's house because she loves her two-year-old niece, she likes to go to the gym and has a strange vice: he can't resist pickled onions. She would like a garden and a Labrador dog she would call Biba. Qui vive Elena, fa la commessa in un negozio di detersivi, è single (per scelta dice lei), va tutte le domeniche a pranzo a casa di sua sorella perchè adora la nipotina di due anni, le piace andare in palestra e ha uno strano vizio: non sa resistere alle cipolline sotto aceto. Le piacerebbe avere un giardino e un cane labrador che chiamerebbe Biba. Ma il suo grande sogno è mollare tutto e partire in viaggio per il mondo, andare a vedere come vivono le persone dalla parte opposta del pianeta. Ah, se trovasse il coraggio di farlo!
The architect Tommasi lives here, I mean his home, not the studio where he works. His apartment is really beautiful, tastefully made and furnished, but not elegant or cold, indeed with a vintage and very intimate style. Qui vive l'architetto Tommasi, intendo la sua abitazione, non lo studio dove lavora. Il suo appartamento è proprio bello, realizzato e arredato con gusto, ma non elegante o freddo, anzi con uno stile vintage e molto intimo. Vuole chiedere alla sua ragazza di andare a vivere con lui, ma è ancora timoroso, non riesce ancora a vedere in quella casa un'altra persona che magari vorrebbe metterci dei tocchi personali, perchè se accettasse la convivenza dovrebbe accettare tutti i cambiamenti che lei porterebbe con se. No, non è pronto.
Here lives Amelia, Lia for all those who know her. She is a woman of indefinite age, but still beautiful, with an empathetic smile. Her life is made up of books, books read and books written, so many that now they no longer fit in the house. She has always been shy but she had found her way of expressing herself through poems, so with all that whirlwind of emotions they gave her she never felt alone. She likes to sit by the window and when she takes a few breaks she looks out at life as it goes by, and takes inspiration for her stories.
Qui vive Amelia, Lia per tutti quelli che la conoscono. E' una donna dall'età indefinita, ma ancora bella, dal sorriso empatico. La sua vita è fatta di libri, libri letti e libri scritti, cosi tanti che ormai in casa non ci stanno più. E' sempre stata timida ma aveva trovato il suo modo di esprimersi attraverso le poesie, cosi con tutto quel turbinio di emozioni che esse le procuravano non si sentiva mai sola. Le piace sedere vicino alla finestra e quando fa qualche pausa guarda fuori la vita che scorre, e prende ispirazione per le sue storie.

Questa casa è piuttosto vecchia e disabitata, si vede da tutta la polvere alla finestra. Non si sa se è in vendita, qualcuno ha fatto delle domande, ma nessuno ha mai avuto risposte. Qui viveva Elia che aveva fatto la guerra e poi il pescatore per il resto della sua vita. Volete scriverlo voi questo racconto?
