Hail to the Hive!
On our way back from the supply run todaay ( beer 🍺) we encountered a bit of a roadblock.
Goats! And lots of them.
We slowed to what I can only assume is goat cruising speed and flicked the patience switch in our brains to avoid the frustration of being held up so close to home. What can you do eh? Bloody goats.
For a minute or so I silently wondered how far we would have to travel at this snails pace ( well ok goats pace ) and also wondered who’s goats they could possibly be. I even started to think about curry goat with rice n peas mmmmmmm. So good.
Then, as I was day dreaming about curry goat, a cyclist whizzed past us on the right and began to herd the flock ( is it a flock?) together.
I’m not sure if it was his skill at two wheeled shepherding or if the goats were used to him and the route but they were pretty obedient and gathered together in a more orderly fashion.
Except for these two rebels. Ah rebellious youth!
But he soon swooped back in a big circle and ushered them along with the rest of the pack, herd, flock whatever goats are in a group. Ahhh apparently it’s a herd, trip or tribe. I like Tribe so let’s go with that.
So the two wheeled Jamaican goat shepherd expertly rounded up the two rebellious kids and got them back with the Tribe!
And they all lived happily ever after….. until they were summarily executed and put in the pot with some seasoning and scotch bonnet hot pepper and served with rice.
