Hail to the Hive!
There’s a storm headed our way. Looking at the weather report it looks like a lot of rain and some extremely high winds will be here by the afternoon. As we were moored in the countryside, just outside Leamington Spa, I thought we may be better off mooring up in the city rather than being exposed in the open countryside. It was open fields opposite where we were, and lots of very tall trees.
I figured the city buildings should shield us from the ferocity of the wind (hopefully) and we need to stock up on some supplies anyway so seems like a good move.
I am loving the way Badger the Narrowboat looks nestled in between the white brick buildings. She almost looks as though she belongs here and very much blends into the style of the area. It simply begged for a black and white shot to be taken. There are good solid mooring rings here also which is good peace of mind in case the winds do still start to blow.
It’s a great location right outside a cafe that not only does great coffee all day but I couldnt help but notice serves IPA as well. I may have to wander in to sample the coffee in the morning or if it’s a little later in the day a beer, well why not it is nearly Christmas!
Badger really looks at home here in this little part of the canal network.
