Hail to the Hive!
Lately I have been neglecting my hive posts as I've been on a nightshift grind and feel like a walking zombie during the day but a recent trip to Plymouth rekindled a bit of the old blogging inspiration I needed and it came mostly from a walk down the docks and the vibe of the fishing boats moored up there.
I found my mind drifting off to memories of our recent year and a half living aboard Badger the Narrowboat and looking forward to getting back into the floating life groove that we were in living on the canals here in the UK. There's a definite lure, an attraction pulling me back towards this life. I think it's the nomad and adventurer in me that makes it so appealing. Rootless, in motion, drifting. Always a new place to go to. It's in my blood.
So I am going to have to make myself a promise and keep on the hive vibe as I realise I have been sucked into a kind of normal working type life cycle. Eat sleep, work, repeat. Several weeks have whizzed by without me posting and this day trip has jolted me back into a different focus.
On my days off I need to get out and explore more as we will be off on our travels again soon and I will regret not peeling back the layers of this place if I don't get out there more. THis nightshift cycle I find myself in is a means to an end but I mustn't let it consume me or derail my other interests.
And the Black and White community is a great outlet for me to get myself back into the block chain.
Because I do.......
