Hail to the Hive!
It’s a bloody good job Narrowboats are slow as I absolutely can’t resist taking shots of some of the bridges as I pas under them.
I love the engineering & architecture, the stonework. They are beautiful creations born out of necessity to transport stuff across rivers, canals, valleys or roads.
The angles on this one are sublime. I am actually steering the boat with my ass as I take shots passing slowly underneath. Trying to stay aware of any drifting from side to side and hoping a boat doesn’t appear speeding in the opposite direction. Yes there a a few on the canal that didn’t get the ‘slow’ memo.
I am all smiles today as we passed several cool bridges as we start down canals and waterways new to us.
This means there’s going to be so much more for me to photograph. More industrial constructions from two hundred years ago. More natural landscapes with a man made cutting filled with water passing through for me to traverse.
I love this nomadic life!
