Hail to the Hive!
It rained today, almost all day. After several days that seem tease with the promise of future summer sunny days we had a deluge of rain accompanied by blustery cold wind. Hmmmph not happy. Got my sulking face on staring out the window.
Then a break in the rain came this afternoon. "I need to get out and stretch my legsand breath some fresh air" I thought. Badger the Narrowboat is small and feels so much smaller when you are stuck inside all day.
So off I ventured, but not too far in case the rains returned. I walked a few locks down, less than a mile, and then began my journey back. On the way back, as I peered under the bridge at lock 30, I was immediately struck by the image of the arch and the open lock gates beyond. A perfectly framed shot.
The open lock gate cast a completely different reflection to the usually closed gate. The speckles of flower petals scattered on the surface of the water with the ominous clouds as backdrop had me snapping away as I knew these were worthy imges for capture.
I do appreciate the Hive for these moments as it really is a catalyst for motivating my creativity and adds another purpose to any random walk or journey i set out on.
So what initially started as a 'I gotta get out' emotion turned into a walk in the countryside with multiple rewards. Felling fresh and happy to be out with added photo opportunities thrown into the mix.
