Hail to the Hive!
This is a little stretch of the Llangollan Canal between where we are moored and the llangollan Basin. It's one of 3 areas of the canal here that is not wide enough for another boat to pass the other way.
It does pose a bit of a problem at times. The recommended thing to do is to send someone down on foot to check it's all clear before entering otherwise a long reverse may ruin your day.
I do send down to do this but I slso have chanced it knowing that ( or reasoning logically that) nobody should be headingthis way very early in the morning as it's a dead end and if going towards the end ( or the basin) I tend to go after 5 as the hire boats are all back and everyone else should be where they want to be.
I do love these two buildings. They are both privately owned with people living in them. Brilliant places to live. I've had a few chats with the couple who own the white building and they've even invited us round for a cup of tea. How very British 😁.
We've been in the area nearly a month now and met sveral folks that used to come here in their boats and ended up moving and sttling here as it is so nice. I can see why but I'm not the settling down kinda guy. 7 years in the Philippines was enough and remains the longest period of time I have ever lived in one town my whole life.
One last little look back before getting back to base.....
