Hail to the Hive!
Well it’s been a while coming. Working nights for 3 months to lay for our Jamaica trip left me with little energy or material to post on hive but finally we are on our way! These photos were taken from the bus as we headed into the Heathrow Airport vicinity and the reality of our impending departure becomes more real by the minute.
As I spied a plane flying overhead after it had taken off I was unable to resist the child like urge to snap a little shot and ai was pleasantly surprised with the results as the plane was offset with cloud and the lamp posts along the roadway.
I didn’t even want to crop the edges and left the bus window edges in the shot as it is in keeping with the whole ‘ we are approaching the airport’ vibe. First time flying anywhere since we returned to the UK from the Philippines. Seems a lot longer than the 20 months it was.
So I am feeling good on several fronts really. Back in a traveling mode and back in a hive posting mentality too. The nightshifts really rocked me out of my posting rhythm and that was something I didn’t anticipate when I started the night grind.
Good to be back in the saddle!
