Hail to the Hive!
Now that we have been released back into the wild and are roaming free again I have decided to break out the drone as I haven’t really used it since returning to the UK.
There weren’t really many rules with drones in the Philippines whereas here in the UK there’s flyer and operator ID needed ( operator for drones over a certain size) so I bit the bullet and took the test. I could and should have done this much earlier but procrastination and all that, but I finally got round to it.
I couldn’t be bothered to read all the stuff so I decided to just take the test and see if I could wing it ( pardon the pun ) and managed tompass it first time without reading any of the info or guidelines.
So I am ok to use the drone now as I have the license but don’t really have a scooby doo what the rules really are. I’ll behave though and peruse them and be sure I am not breaching anything too serious.
I am loving the different perspective I can get and from altitude the textures and contours of the land and water are fun to play with in imagery. Looks like I have another outlet to explore for video and photo. Excellent!
I spent a pleasant afternoon filming the narrowbkats going under the bridge and passing Badger ( our boat ) although I think the couple in the boat behind me didn’t appreciate the buzzing sound but hey the guy on the other side was using power tools to renovate his boat haha 😂. They could always move, it’s the beauty of boating being able to bugger off if you don’t like being where you’re at.
I will be doing some more shooting tomorrow. Hope you like the images!
