Hail to the Hive!
Even though we have been living on board Badger the Narrowboat for eight months now there are a few things that Inalways get a kick out of and one of them is going over aqueducts. There’s just something intrinsically odd about being on a boat and traveling high above things like train tracks, roads or rivers.
It ks made all the more surreal by the dreamlike slow speed in which you traverse the man made water bridges. Serene, slow and steady.
I mean I am aware its not magical and that it is engineering from over two hundred years agomthat put them here but I always find myself smiling at the weirdness of it all.
It’s one of the many wonderfully odd moments of life onboard a narrowboat.
