Hi all! My entry for the #monomad challenge by today is a series of images that is very important to me. And I explain: although they are photos that I would normally take on any inspirational day, they were commissioned. That's right, the client hired me to portray her the way I wanted, precisely because she identified with my aesthetics and style.
Carolina Perez was going through a transition moment in her life and wanted to register this with a photoshoot that made sense to her.
We defined a place and some elements that would be used and on a very cold Sunday morning we headed to the Pedra Vermelha Waterfall, which is in the city of Jundiaí, a neighboring city to where I live.
The photos were taken in December 2019 in very cold water. The water symbolized the act of washing away the darkness and letting it drain away, saying goodbye to things Carolina no longer wanted to carry with her.
We were alone at the waterfall, which is not very high and doesn't have a deep pool either, but it is a beautiful and certainly inspiring place.
These photos mean a lot to me, because it is hard to explain the feeling of being paid to do exactly what I love most.
