I just had gotten out of home, and then my sight got into the neighbor's rooftop and I was stunned. It was the vulture.
Having spent half my life observing wild animals, made me realize it was a pleasing sight, however, a tag on its leg made me observant of its behavior. It feels like a decade that I haven't seen a vulture. Their numbers are getting quite limited in the national park (nearby home). The scavenger is one of the endangered birds of Nepal. And, The bird is in the observation on its route by the researchers.
The crows felt threatened by its arrival and soon they were off-putting the vulture. I was more focused on the bird. Soon, I came back home gathered my camera, and went to click the photograph from a distance. It's an experience to watch the bird after a decade.
Its big feathers, the sharp beak, the long neck, and its gigantic wings felt like a giant animal. And, the big crows felt so small around the big bird. It was not bothered by their disturbance. Crows don't want the uninvited guest in their territory.
What a sight!
In the meantime, I saw two people looking up at the sky around. I realized they were the bird experts tracking the vulture. I called them up and pointed out the bird's location. They stayed there watching the bird, and I made my way back to work. It was one great day. I just wished I could stay more to observe the bird and its activities, but that would be the next time.
