When I first saw her, she was just a tiny kitten. She used to visit this place quite often, and then suddenly she disappeared. After a while, she came back again, and now she has returned after almost one and a half years.
जब मैंने उसे पहली बार देखा था, तब वह एक छोटी सी बिल्ली का बच्चा थी। वह अक्सर यहाँ आया करती थी, फिर अचानक कुछ समय के लिए गायब हो गई। काफी समय बाद वह फिर से लौटी, और अब तो लगभग डेढ़ साल बाद दोबारा दिखाई दी है।
I had named her Michelle. This time when she came back, she was pregnant. After a few days, I felt like she had given birth to kittens because her belly no longer looked the same. Today when she came, she seemed very tired. It was probably because she had just become a new mother.
मैंने उसका नाम मिशेल रखा था। इस बार जब वह वापस आई, तो वह गर्भवती थी। कुछ दिनों बाद ही मुझे लगा कि उसने बच्चों को जन्म दे दिया है, क्योंकि उसका पेट पहले जैसा नहीं रहा था। आज जब वह आई, तो वह बहुत थकी हुई लग रही थी। शायद नई माँ बनने की वजह से वह इतनी थकी हुई थी।
She came, ate a little, and then quietly lay down in the sun. It looked like she just wanted to rest for a while. After some time, she started looking down from the balcony because there was a monkey sitting on a tree below. She kept watching it, but she still seemed calm and low on energy.
वह आई, थोड़ा खाना खाया और फिर धूप में चुपचाप लेट गई। ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे वह बस आराम करना चाहती हो। कुछ देर बाद उसने नीचे की तरफ देखना शुरू किया, क्योंकि पेड़ पर एक बंदर था। वह बालकनी से झांक कर उसे देख रही थी, लेकिन फिर भी बहुत शांत थी।
Poor Michelle looked really exhausted today. She was sitting in funny and slightly awkward positions, as if she couldn’t find a completely comfortable way to rest. You could clearly see the tiredness in her every movement, yet she stayed there, soaking in the warmth and trying to relax.
बेचारी मिशेल आज बहुत थकी हुई लग रही थी। वह अलग-अलग अजीब लेकिन प्यारे तरीकों से बैठ रही थी, जैसे उसे सही जगह या आरामदायक मुद्रा नहीं मिल पा रही हो। उसके हर हावभाव में थकान साफ दिख रही थी, लेकिन फिर भी वह वहाँ बैठी रही, जैसे थोड़ी सी शांति और सुकून तलाश रही हो।
Seeing her like this made me feel that she has been through a lot, but there was still a quiet softness about her. She is no longer that little kitten I once saw. Now she is a mother, taking care of her babies. Even in her tiredness, there was a sense of peace, as if she was slowly settling into this new phase of her life.
उसे देखकर ऐसा लगा कि वह बहुत कुछ झेलकर आई है, लेकिन फिर भी उसमें एक सादगी और अपनापन था। वह अब पहले वाली छोटी सी बिल्ली नहीं रही, बल्कि एक माँ बन चुकी है, जो अपने बच्चों की देखभाल कर रही है। उसकी थकान के पीछे भी एक सुकून था, जैसे वह अपने नए जीवन को धीरे-धीरे स्वीकार कर रही हो।
