As I was returning from a short trip, I noticed a group of monkeys along the roadside in the middle of a forest. There was a bit of traffic on the road because a big truck was moving slowly ahead. While waiting, I looked around and saw many monkeys—some were swinging from tree branches, while others were calmly sitting on the metal railings beside the road.
जब मैं एक छोटी यात्रा से लौट रहा था, तो मैंने जंगल के बीच में सड़क के किनारे बंदरों का एक समूह देखा। सड़क पर थोड़ा ट्रैफ़िक था क्योंकि एक बड़ा ट्रक धीरे-धीरे आगे बढ़ रहा था। इंतज़ार करते हुए, मैंने चारों ओर देखा और कई बंदर देखे - कुछ पेड़ की शाखाओं से झूल रहे थे, जबकि अन्य सड़क के किनारे धातु की रेलिंग पर शांति से बैठे थे।
At first, I wondered why so many of them were just sitting there on the railing. Then I saw a few monkeys happily munching on bananas. That’s when I realized—some people in the cars ahead had given bananas to the monkeys. Seeing this, the other monkeys probably thought that if they also sat on the railings like the first ones, they too might get some food from the passing vehicles. It was almost like they were patiently waiting their turn, hoping someone would share more bananas with them.
पहले तो मुझे आश्चर्य हुआ कि इतने सारे बंदर रेलिंग पर क्यों बैठे थे। फिर मैंने देखा कि कुछ बंदर खुशी-खुशी केले खा रहे थे। तभी मुझे एहसास हुआ कि आगे की गाड़ियों में बैठे कुछ लोगों ने बंदरों को केले दिए थे। यह देखकर शायद दूसरे बंदरों ने सोचा होगा कि अगर वे भी पहले वाले की तरह रेलिंग पर बैठ गए तो उन्हें भी गुज़रने वाली गाड़ियों से कुछ खाना मिल सकता है। ऐसा लग रहा था कि वे धैर्यपूर्वक अपनी बारी का इंतज़ार कर रहे थे और उम्मीद कर रहे थे कि कोई उनके साथ और केले बाँटेगा।
