Each person is a world unto themselves, each animal has its own world, and of course, each scene captured is a world unto itself. This is how I present this series of photos, where we see people, like a gentleman lost in thought on the street, while some children play soccer or skateboard, and some girls engage in what appears to be some kind of practice I'm unfamiliar with. But all of this happened in the same afternoon, and the scenes unfold through the details I observe.
I've also photographed a dog that lives in the residential complex where I live. I often feed him, mostly cat food, since I have many cats in my apartment. You could say I've semi-adopted this dog, although he sometimes wanders off, but I always find him at mealtimes or when he goes to sleep. Of course, I'd like to give him a safe place to live, but for obvious reasons—having so many cats at home—I can't have any more. But at least I always see him, and he seems to be doing well.
All of that was part of today's journey, a cool afternoon bustling with activity as people went about their business, but above all, a perfect day to find interesting scenes where I harmonized the details of contrast and texture in the different settings.
All photographs are my own.
