Today was a peculiar day, with intense sunshine but lots of people in the streets. Well, that's how it is around payday, or even as December approaches; there's a lot of activity on the streets, so much so that in my opinion it can be uncomfortable. But on the other hand, it's good for finding scenes to capture, with people going about their daily routines or whatever they're doing. But my focus isn't really on the actions of the people or what might be shown as significant, but rather on a bit of that photographic language.
What I mean by that photographic language is the harmony between contrast, texture, and the effect of the light. Of course, for these photographs, as always, it's natural sunlight, the kind I mentioned at the beginning, on a very radiant and hot day. It's one of those days when it's really better to stay home, but today I had errands to run, so I took the opportunity to capture some shots of the street in its own way.
So, the day went well despite how hectic it was, but that's all part of the experience: being able to walk, perceive, and try to capture what I'm seeing, but with the idea of applying that photographic language to each of the images you can see.
All photographs are my own.
