You're not going to like this. But God said to tell you, it won't make sense, but it will work out.
This season that you're in is not going to make sense to you. God's going to have you giving up stuff, doing stuff, changing stuff, shifting stuff. And you're going to be like,God, I just got comfortable. It just made sense. It just started working out for me. And God's going to say, no, give it up, leave it, let it go. Whatever the case may be, money, finances, friends, relationships. And you're going to be like, God, what are you talking about? And God's going to be like, I need you to trust me and flow with me on this thing.
He said to tell you that just like he told Abram to leave his relatives, his home and his country to a land, which he would show him. The Abram's name was still Abram before he reached the promised land. God says, there are some places that I'm about to take you where your name will only change until you get there. Your identity will only change until you get there. The title that is called upon your life will only be able to reach you when you reach the promised land.
And the Lord says when to remind you that even though God told Abram the instruction to go to the promised land, the Bible says he did not tell him. Even where he was going, he just said, I will show you the land. In other words, if you acknowledge him in all your ways, he will direct your path. Not he will show you the final destination.
If your mom or your dad drops you off at a random place and you're like, what in the heck? You told me to go here and I've never even seen this building before. You're going to feel abandoned. You're going to feel like, why do I feel like I'm walking this thing alone? And you left me here when you have a car to take me there. But God is saying, it's not that I'm leaving you alone. I'm on the journey with you. We're just not going in a vehicle.
We're not going to make it comfortable or convenient because I got to see if you really trust me. I got to see if you really going to put your all into what I'm telling you. I'm going to see if you really going to give me your yes and go, even though it don't make no sense, even though you don't like it.
Because after that, God promises Abraham that he's going to be a father of many nations, that he's going to be blessed, that he's going to be famous. He gives him all these promises that are attached to his yes. So give him your yes in this season. Even if it don't make sense, it still will work out.
I love you, but God loves you more.
