Welcome to my time capsule. 😊 We are traveling back 7 years to meet a girl much like me, but far younger and more naive. I will be telling you her story through her eyes over the coming weeks and months. I hope you enjoy it and see the many ways her Savior has guided her every step of the way! 😍

It has been a wild ride so far in this adventure, and I haven't even left Texas yet! I have been so amazed to see God's hand throughout the whole process of getting to Destino del Reino, from setting out on a 5-day mission trip last year, to being asked to lead the children's ministry at my church, to (after much prayer and uncertainty) submitting my application, to being accepted as a teacher, to fundraising, to preparing to leave in less than 2 months!
Over and over, God has shown me that I don't have to be perfectly prepared or completely competent. I only have to be totally trusting, faithfully following, and simply submissive. His power is not measured by my weakness, but made perfect in it. And I thank Him for that! It is so easy to see what big thing God has done through my small effort and claim it as my own, yet He faithfully reminds me Who is in charge by saving me when I get in over my head. He has shown himself trustworthy again and again - I know He will hold my hand as I jump into this new ocean, even though I know in my own strength I can barely doggie-paddle.

"For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again." 2 Cor 1:8-10 (emphasis added)
Gracias a Dios!
