Greetings to everyone.
This is to all our dear Young ministers, upon my recent contemplation, I have been filled with a great awe and fear as to the weight of responsibility that's on us, and this borders around shaping culture and civilization through doctrine.
And I've seen how ecstatic and spiritually vibrant our meetings are but truly, experiences may impact men but only those who has become a culture will survive the Stormy winds every generation must face.
It's one thing to do ministry but another thing to be intentional about your ministerial work. By this, I do not mean succeeding in ministry, which has the disgusting look out age describes but being intentional about our generation and the footprints we'll leave behind for those coming ( if the lord tarries). I see how those casual social media posts, careless statements made during "high moments" in a "revival sermon" will become the bedrock of doctrine for the coming generation.
I see how some people are busy quoting spurgeon, Tertullian, Athanasius, iraeneous and many others and tomorrow, a generation will quote us.
Alot of books owned by watchmen Nee today are sermon notes and they're still blessing lives. Oftentimes that I listen to some preaching, I'll head people screaming to the preacher " more grace" I hear statements made that I quake in fear, the difference between meat and bait is a tiny little metal called a hook.
It doesn't matter how helpful our sermons are today, those little hooks will definitely choke a coming generation to spiritual death.
I'm writing this to say, lets all our post be deliberate, scripturally cross checked, we must bend down in deep studies and deep groaning seeking mercy of our lord that works, what we build are not made of materials as stubble but precious gold as the word of the lord, tried seven times.
We must research and dig deep on prevailing winds of erroneous doctrines that seduced men in time past and beware of the same so we do not stray by them and lead a generation captive.
There's an assurance that if a generation that came before us got it right, ours will too.
Since it is true that the Lord shows weaker and frail men mercy, and I pray may He who found us worthy of this vocation, find us meet for His unending mercies.
There's indeed a great responsibility rested on our shoulders from divinity. May we not disappoint God in this our own generation.
