Just when you think that you've a lot and begins raising your hands and shoulders up above your head, I'll like to remind you that life on it's own, have different ways of humbling humans.
And you're not excepmted... Think about it this way... One hospital bill can erase your riches.
One coffin can silence your fame.
One heartbeat can stop your plans.
And all the luxury you worshipped on earth will never cool one second of torment in hell.
The rich man had servants, fine clothing, and daily feasts, yet when death came, none of his gold followed him into the flames. Lazarus had wounds, hunger, and suffering, yet heaven became his eternal comfort.
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
Mark 8:36 kjv.
The world celebrates people who die rich, but heaven looks at where their soul ended up for eternity.
Some people spend their entire lives chasing money while ignoring God, mocking righteousness, feeding the flesh, loving sin, and pretending judgment is a joke. But hell is not a joke. “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
Psalm 9:17 kjv.
One moment after death, every secret sin, every proud thought, every hidden rebellion will stand exposed before a holy God.
You can sleep on silk sheets and still wake up in eternal fire.
You can drink expensive wine and still beg for one drop of water after death.
You can build empires on earth and still become ashes beneath the wrath of God forever.
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Proverbs 14:12 kjv.
This generation fears poverty more than hell.
Fears rejection more than judgment.
Fears losing followers more than losing their soul forever.
But when eternity begins, none of this temporary world will matter anymore.
“Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.”
Proverbs 11:4 kjv.
Better to suffer with God than laugh your way into damnation.
Better to be hated for truth than celebrated in sin.
Better to cry on earth for a few years than scream in hell for eternity where the fire never dies and the torment never ends. “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments.”
Luke 16:23 kjv.
