I hate death.
As you guys know, my Hive journey has taken a back seat to a higher calling in my life these days. My new career has taken my focus off the blockchain and into the job I have been hired and called to do. It's literally, the greatest job I could have ever hoped for.
But because of this new commitment, I have left a big chunk of my 'old life' here. I love Hive, I love $LEO. I love entrepreneurship. This blockchain has been my home for the past 6 plus years and I dedicated every ounce of my being to this place. On top of that, over the past few decades, my online businesses has taken me to some pretty cool 'highs' but even lower "lows"...
But no matter what happened either on chain or in my business, the best past about it was always the people you got to meet.
I don't think you guys need any evidence, this place has some of the coolest folks you will meet online. And when I was into my online business, there was some impressive people I met along the way as well.
Bradley and I met from my old stomping grounds. And he came over to Hive when I tried to bridge the gap between online businesses and crypto adoption. To say Bradley took to this place would be an understatement.
This guy is literally the definition of consistency, as he not only fell in love with Hive, he's been posting for almost 1800 consecutive days. Impressive :)
I actually met Bradley in real life too :) He's a real dude. And we hit it off pretty well seeing that we are from the same province in Canada - Newfoundland. Well, he is actually from there...I was just born there and have family on the island.
Just an all around good dude.
Bradley was dealing a lot with something personal that I'm sure he wouldn't wish on his worst enemy. His wife was battling cancer for years and you saw the pain in his posts over the years....
Wishing he could help her more. But with her by her side, every step of the way.
Sadly, his wife passed away about a week ago.
I mourn for my friend. I wish there were words that could comfort people at times of grief like this, but all we can do is assure them that we are thinking about them. And praying for them and their family.
I know I'm not a big deal around these parts anymore, but I am asking for a favor from the Hive and LEO community. Drop a follow! Support his BBH project! Send him a thought and comment or two over the next few weeks.
Just to let him know, he's part of the greatest community online and on any blockchain.
Appreciate you man, and so sorry I didn't see the news earlier. My family and I are praying for you big time. And like I mentioned in the Discord note I sent you, you have my number, if you need to talk, drop me a line anytime.
