I changed my profile header today....
Usually, this is not bug news or anything, in fact, it's not really newsworthy at all. But over the past few days I've been convicted. I guess I should show the new image here for context...
This was my collection of bibles a few years ago. Oh there are some gems there :)
Some of my favorites of all time are in that picture, and that black right in the middle (to the left) is my first ever bible. Ol' faithful :)
Why am I bringing this up and even talking about my bible collection....Because of the conviction I've had recently about how important it is for us, as believers, to keep our nose in scripture as much as possible.
I saw a terrifying image and video today that made me realize, the end times are quickly approaching and Satan will use every device possible to mislead us. The 'AI' stuff is super scary when you think of what will be considered 'real' online and what is a deep fake of some sort. It's almost like the bible prophesied it all huh?
Hmmm, this Jesus guy might be onto something here afterall!!!
Now here's the bad news....
It's coming.
Whether we like it or not, the deceptions will be rampant and the great signs and wonders will deceive a lot of people. We 'believe' with our eyes, because we trust what we see. However, Christ stated that the blessed will be those that don't see, yet believe.
Which for me, makes it all the more reason for us to....
Keep our eyes on Christ and in the word!
Here's a small excerpt from one of the best books in history ever written about the history of the church and the deceptions that are coming in the last days, see if you pick up what I did...
It is the MEDIUM of communication between God and man! The bible is such a gift and while the rest of the world may start to get very frightened with what's about to take place, followers of Christ should be a peace! We know how the story ends. We know who is victorious. And we know what is truth.
So I guess the convicting I was feeling was the Holy Spirit putting it on my heart to start ignoring the noise of the world. What will be, will be. The most important thing for my family and I is that we stick to the bible, and know it from front to cover.
It's mid way through the year now and I'm currently reading two 'read through the bible' plans. I'm honestly thinking of starting up another one...I just want to soak up as much Scripture as I can, and keep my eyes heavenward. It's a much less stressful way to live life :)
