Greetings, everyone!
This morning, I had my devotion from this very passage of the Bible, and it was inspiring and spirit-filled.
Proverbs 18:10 ERV [10] The name of the Lord is like a strong tower. Those who do what is right can run to him for protection.
This verse is telling me that God is my protection, my hiding place, my defense mechanism.
The first sentence in that passage is the " name of Lord" meaning there is something spectacular about this name that needs to be held wholeheartedly. This name is not just a common name; it carries power, and by the mention of it, every knee bows, and it is a name that carries identity, character, and action of God. His name tells a lot.
Moreso, the name of Jesus is a believer's authority to call Him as a means of help, comfort, peace, and a father who is faithful, merciful, and gracious in all His ways.
Therefore, we should be proud of calling His name, knowing that there is power in the name of Jesus. Let His name be your backing in everything you are doing.
I am confident, bold, encouraged, equipped, and sharpened by the call of His name.
Keep on calling Him, He never fails.
