1 Corinthians 13 verse 11
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
There were things we did, because we were children. We did those things because because we did not know the consequences of our actions by that time, so we talked, thought, react etc like children before we grew up.
So those things we did because we were children then, we should do the opposite of those things now.
Like when I was a child, I did always take responsibility as now.
I used to talk before thinking but now I think before I talk, as this is what lead us into problems we should not enter at all.
Acting or talking before thinking is childish, it has it own consequences. Anyone who talk or act before thinking is still a child and there is no maturity in him and that person responds to hos or emotions.
Emotions suspends your intellect because you are expected to act base on what you know or how much you know not acting based on how you feel.
You need to think before you talk or act on anything.
There are some problems you would avoid if you start thinking before you talk or act.
Everyone should try to use the "WWJD" meaning what would Jesus Do, as this will help to be more cautious in Christian race.
Philippian 2 verse 5
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus
Jesus approach stuffs, based on how his father would want him to, he did not allow his emotions prevail, had it been he allowed that, he would have filled his father .
Sometimes we make Jesus feel bad about us, he is always ready to forgive we know that but there is more we can do to always make happy and proud of us. We should work on our minds and trust the holy spirit to help us.
Working on our minds is something that is very intentional. We should not forget the place of the Holy spirit, he is always there to guide us but the question is are we always listening to him or do we grief him at all times.
The Holy spirit is our guide but we should always allowed him Lord over our thoughts and actions.
