Exploring the urban landscape is a hobby that makes me feel good about living here in the city. There are many places to visit here in Singapore that I cannot experience in other countries. Because this country is so small, in every corner of the place I can discover buildings that have interesting designs. It is impressive that even in a remote part of Singapore like the Kovan area there is an amazing building.
Stars of Kovan is a mixed-use development containing residential and commercial units.
The amazing thing about the appearance of this building is that it is very welcoming because it's like I'm walking in a modern park. Although this development is not very big, the design of this building has interesting aspects that are scattered in different parts of the development.
In the center of the development is a fountain with a large steel umbrella. I like the pattern of the metal roof, it looks modern but I can say that it took some inspiration from nature too.
Talking about nature, there are also many small gardens scattered around the buildings. Even though this building is almost entirely concrete, there are still many incorporated pocket gardens and there are also vertical gardens on the facade of the building. I did observe that birds are nesting in the vertical gardens so what is happening here in this development is even more amazing.
