Aha! It's the weekend!
Mr. Sun is finally gracing us with its presence which is so warming and comforting. I'm glad Falcon (the storm which was forecasted to enter PAR) didn't come and hoping it won't land anywhere the country or elsewhere.
I went out earlier for a short walk towards the other end of the yard which we haven't checked yesterday. We spent most of the time tidying up our front yard, refitting and replacing the roofing by the porch. We were so tired that we collapsed in bed right after dinner.
The trees out there had been beaten, their branches fallen almost everywhere but they are still standing strong.
There had been plans of having them trimmed or cut down but glad we didn't push through.
Although it can be scary when they sway, they are a good buffer or shelter from nasty winds.
The Tamarillo tree was not spared though, its fruits and branches have fallen to the ground. One of my cousins love these fruits so the tree is basically kept for her. I used to love eating these too but for some reason, I no longer fancy them. The husband teased my taste bud is aging😂
During these months, a spring comes out from one of the areas in that side of the property and the water won't run dry until summer comes. I think with enough cleaning and filtering, we can perhaps use the water for our kitchen needs. But we do need to have it tested first if its free from bacteria or such.
I know... that part of the yard is already screaming for some maintenance, lol! It's mostly been neglected but hopefully, we'd be able to spare some time to have the workds done. Not today though for we are going to visit my in-law. Our road is currently being cleared out so we'd be out and about once it is done.
Meanwhile, someone's birthday is coming right up and so excited to unwrap what's in the box of life!
Until then, cheers to one beautiful weekend!🍻
